At Lakera Early Years Nursery, we believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where they can learn, play, explore and grow with confidence. We welcome children from 6 months to 4 years and provide high-quality early years education and care based around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Our aim is to create a warm, home-from-home environment where every child is valued as an individual and supported to reach their full potential.

We offer flexible sessions to help families choose arrangements that work around their individual needs and circumstances.

PRE-SCHOOL
3 – 5 years
Each age group receives age-appropriate activities, resources and learning experiences designed around children’s individual development, interests and needs.

Early Years Funding
We offer eligible funded places, including:
15 Hours Funding
Eligible families may be able to access up to 15 funded hours of early education.
30 Hours Funding
Eligible working families may be able to access up to 30 funded hours.
Tax-Free Childcare
We also welcome families using Tax-Free Childcare, subject to eligibility and the applicable arrangements.
Funding eligibility and the number of funded hours available will depend on your child’s circumstances and the current government funding rules.

OUR ADMISSION PROCESS
We want joining Lakera to be as simple and welcoming as possible.
1. Register Your Interest
Click Register Your Child or Apply for a Place on our website to begin your application.
2. Complete Your Application
You will be taken to our secure online admissions and registration system, where you can provide the information we need about your child and family.
3. We Contact You
Our admissions team will contact you to discuss your child’s needs, preferred sessions, availability and funding eligibility.
4. Book a Nursery Visit
We encourage parents and carers to visit Lakera, meet our team and see our nursery environment
5. Discuss Your Child’s Needs
We will discuss your child’s:
- Development
- Daily routine
- Feeding
- Sleeping arrangements
- Toileting
- Allergies and dietary requirements
- Medical needs
- Additional needs/SEND
- Interests and preferences
- Family routines
6. Offer of a Place
If we have availability and are able to meet your child’s needs, we will offer you a place and provide the necessary admission information.
7. Settling-In
Before your child’s start date, we will work with you to plan an appropriate settling-in process to help your child feel comfortable, secure and confident.
Places at Lakera Early Years Nursery are limited.
